About Us

We're Jordyn's Soul Cafe, and we're an upscale soul food restaurant serving Chicago, IL, since 2022. There's no need to search for that perfect blend of soul food and fine dining because it's right here! We specialize in premium comfort food with a menu that includes everything from soul food classics to modern twists on those classics. Our owner created this restaurant to honor her late daughter and to serve Chicagoland areas delectable dishes inspired by her mother. Our Story

Jordyn’s Soul Café is a premier soul food restaurant in Chicago, Illinois. Owner Angel McDonald opened up this business in honor of her late daughter, Jordyn. Angel has been working in the restaurant industry for many years and has always had a passion for cooking. The recipes she serves at Jordyn's Soul Café are close to her heart and have been passed down by her mother. Angel is dedicated to providing her customers with delicious food that is made from scratch daily, using only the freshest ingredients. She takes pride in providing customers with quality service and ensuring that all dishes served are prepared with care and love. Angel created a space that is second to none in its ambiance, and our food is beautifully presented with artistic attention to detail. We are committed to providing you with the best possible experience while dining with us!

Our goal at Jordyn’s Soul Café is to provide great food that makes people happy and to serve our customers with dignity, respect, and compassion while working hard to provide them with an experience they will never forget. We are committed to making the best soul food around, with only the freshest ingredients and the highest level of service.

At Jordyn’s Soul Café, you'll find a menu that features the freshest, most flavorful ingredients. Our grilled salmon is the best you'll ever have, while our fried chicken is so crunchy and delicious that you'll want to order some to-go! Finger-licking Delicious, but expensive. Everything we ate was Sooo Good. And our Drinks were perfection. We sat at the bar, so it was made right in front of us. The empanadas,ox tails and short ribs were all divine ( and we will be having them again!). It's a beautiful decor. It is a small space so there will probably be a wait, but it is worth the wait! It is Pricey, especially for Soul Food, but we're still going back (cuz it was Good). [I'm allergic to cornbread, but my Love says it was Really Good]

My son took me and his big sister here today to celebrate mother's day. We haven't gotten together in years. He picked the perfect place. Everything and everybody was on point. I must admit I had a proud mama moment knowing he knows about places like this. The young lady at the bar Masani was soooo nice to us, I appreciate that. Heck everyone was on their stuff though. Gotta take my Boo there. It's pricey but it was worth it. I didn't leave fussing and complaining like I usually do. Definitely going back. We had catfish, jerk chicken, smothered pork chops, mac, dressing, fried okra, and pot roast empanadas. My bad and three cocktails.👍🏽

The food the was so delicious & the service was excellent I would highly recommend this place to anyone if they haven't ate there. It's an experience that people won't forget. Masani was a great bartender/hostess she was a great person & if she's not the manager she needs to be one because she was great. The over all atmosphere was wonderful I felt very relaxed & comfortable. I will definitely be back.
